Police officer dies hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL FOREST, Colo. (AP)– An off-duty Boulder law enforcement agent passed away in a 200-foot (70-meter) loss while trekking in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Park rangers were phoned to call to the scene just west of Martha’s Couloir on Mount Woman Washington on Thursday mid-day as well as were helped in their search by a helicopter crew that had been designated to a wildfire near Steamboat Springs.
The lady, determined as 35-year-old Ashley Haarmann of Loveland, took a tumbling fall and also passed away at the park.
Boulder Cops Chief Maris Herold sent out members of the department’s command personnel to the park to see to it Haarmann was covered with the American flag till she was escorted to the coroner’s office late Thursday evening.
